ORDER are through to IEM Sydney 2018 after beating Legacy 2-0 in the lower bracket final of the Oceania closed qualifier.
The battle for the final place in Sydney kicked off on Legacy OCE's map pick, Mirage, with ORDER securing a quick 4-0 lead as CTs after winning the first pistol. The Terrorists responded with two rounds of their own, but ORDER immediately regained control of proceedings, losing only three more rounds throughout the rest of the half to bag a 10-5 lead.
In the second half, Jordan "Hatz" Bajic helped his team win their second pistol with a quad-kill, paving the way for them to hit 13 rounds. Legacy OCE responded well with a five-round winning streak to bring the deficit to just two rounds, but ORDER would not let the game slip away and closed the map out, 16-11.
Legacy OCE began their opponents' map pick, Inferno, on the right foot, winning their CT pistol and following that up with the subsequent anti-eco. But a third-round buy from ORDER marked the beginning of a turnaround, with Chris "emagine" Rowlands's side taking a dominant 11-4 half-time lead.
ORDER further added to their lead following a flawless pistol round, but Legacy OCE responded immediately on a force-buy thanks to a triple-kill from Peter "BL1TZ" Athanasatos. After a messy period in which rounds went back and forth, ORDER picked up the pace and secured three rounds in a row to put the match to bed.
